This was posted as a response to a friend’s post on Facebook. I had to steal and repost because … uh… well, you’ll see _exactly_ how we liberals and Democrats are responsible for Trump’s win. I’m calling it found poetry and titling it “The Battle Cry of the Fragile White Male”  – Translations are in bold. (Note: Despite the attribution at the end of the original post, this was shared widely on many right wing sites immediately after the election – and continues to be shared as recently as two days ago.)

Dear Democrats and Liberals,

I’m noticing that a lot of you aren’t graciously accepting the fact that your candidate lost. In fact you seem to be posting even more hateful things about those of us who voted for Trump.

Some of you are apparently “triggered”. Because you are posting how “sick” you feel about the results.

How did this happen you ask.

Original Translation
You created “us” when you attacked our freedom of speech. You created us when you started calling us out on racist, misogynist, bullying speech. We used to be able to call you any names we wanted and you never complained before.
You created “us” when you attacked our right to bear arms. You created us when you asked for ridiculously small safety protections for our children – things like trigger guards and bans on weapons of war that have no place in someone’s private arsenal.
You created “us” when you attacked our Christian beliefs. War on Christmas, yo. Marriage equality, yo. Birth control and abortion rights for women, yo. Our right to impose our beliefs on others is more important than the Constitution.
You created “us” when you constantly referred to us as racists. You hurt our feelings when you point out that our policy positions are racist. We’re not bad people. We just think we know what lazy Black people need better than they do.
You created “us” when you constantly called us xenophobic. And xenophobic? Just because we don’t want to let immigrants in unless they think and look like us? That’s just mean!
You created “us” when you told us to get on board or get out of the way. And we totally stood in the road and tried to stop everything you tried to do to help us because, you know, fuck the country. WE matter more.
You created “us” when you forced us to buy health care and then financially penalized us for not participating. Never mind that having so many uninsured Americans is a worse financial penalty than a small fine for refusing to take responsibility for ourselves.
You created “us” when you allowed our jobs to continue to leave our country. Even though we idolize the corporations and rich folks that actually decided to take “our” jobs out of the country. It’s not THEIR fault you won’t let them pollute the water, kill our kids and not pay their workers fairly or protect them from harm on their job sites.
You created “us” when you attacked our flag. Not THAT flag. THIS one.

You created “us” when you confused women’s rights with feminism. Not that we know what feminism is. We just know that we don’t like it when women don’t pretend we’re smarter and better and stronger than they are.
You created “us” when you began to immasculate men. What do you mean we misspelled that? That’s what we’re talking about! You’re always making us feel inadequate!
You created “us” when you decided to make our children soft. Because we have a right to beat behavior into our kids. And all this BS about sharing is caring? They need to understand it’s a hard, harsh world and the sooner they learn to hit first the stronger we’ll be.
You created “us” when you decided to vote for progressive ideals. This is the worst! Imagine voting to reduce hunger, make employers pay workers enough to live on, and provide all of our citizens with benefits that EVERY CIVILIZED COUNTRY does! (Note: I didn’t say every OTHER civilized country, because a country that lets its children starve while throwing away 40% of edible food produced is not civilized by any definition.)
You created “us” when you attacked our way of life. We are #1! We are #1! And we don’t have to think of no one else, so stop trying to make us feel guilty for being selfish, greedy motherfuckers. It’s OUR WAY OF LIFE. (It says so in the Bible, yo! We have dominion over all the creatures of the Earth!)
You created “us” when you decided to let our government get out of control. Out of OUR control, we mean. The government should only be used to benefit us. If we can’t control it, it should be small enough to drown in a bathtub.
“You” created “us” the silent majority. Our very loud 26% majority.
And we became fed up and we pushed back and spoke up. We beat up people at rallies and shouted LOCK HER UP! and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! and BUILD THE WALL!
And we did it with ballots, not bullets, fires, and violence. Well, except for the people we beat up at rallies and in the streets. We pulled up our scared and angry little willies and elected a man who FIRES people, tells pants on FIRE lies, and encourages violence against anyone who doesn’t kiss his ashcan. Also:

Be grateful we used ballots instead of bullets.  Just bear in mind that if your ilk continues the violent and destructive temper-tantrums it is presently throwing, we still have the option of bullets.  We earnestly pray you will come to your senses so we do not have to defend ourselves or our way of life using such a method.
