According to a new study, drinking two to three cups of coffee a day may decrease my risk of dying of heart disease by up to 25%, and my risk of dying from a cause other than cancer or heart disease by 18%. That holds true for women – men don’t seem to get the same benefit. According to the article in the Washington Post
“Our results suggest that long-term, regular coffee consumption does not increase the risk of death and probably has several beneficial effects on health,” said lead researcher Dr. Esther Lopez-Garcia, assistant professor of preventive medicine at the Autonoma University in Madrid, Spain.
